Itel is well-known for its affordable smartphones, and the Chinese manufacturer has released a slew of devices under Rs. 10,000 in recent months. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Itel S23 was launched in India for Rs. 8,799 earlier this month. The company introduced the Itel P40 and Itel A60 to the Indian market in March. Now, the company is preparing to launch the Itel A60s, an upgraded variant of the A60, in the country. Amazon’s listing for the impending low-cost smartphone Itel A60s verifies some of its features and indicates its price.
Amazon’s promotional page affirms that the Itel smartphone will feature 8GB of RAM, which will be comprised of 4GB of physical RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM via its memory fusion’ technology. In addition, the listing asserts that the Itel A60s is “India’s first 8GB RAM smartphone under 7K,” affirming that the device will be available for less than Rs. 7,000. It is important to note that the 8GB memory claim takes into consideration the phone’s virtual RAM capabilities.
Images of the phone in the listing reveal a dual rear camera system, an LED light in a rectangular module, and what appears to be a biometric scanner. The front camera is located in a waterdrop-shaped indentation in the display’s top center.
Additionally, the listing confirms that the phone will ship with 64GB of internal storage. The images depict the Itel A60s in two color schemes: green and purple.
The product listing on the Itel website provides additional information. The Itel A60s will also be offered with 128GB of storage space. The device will be equipped with a 6.6-inch HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W wired charging. The dual rear camera system will be guided by an 8-megapixel principal lens, and the phone will be propelled by an octa-core processor, although the specifics are still under secrecy.
In addition, the website confirms that the Itel A60s will be offered in four color options: Shadow Black, Sunshine Gold, Moonlit Violet, and Glacier Green. Although Itel has not confirmed an official release date, the Amazon listing for the smartphone states that it is “coming soon.” According to a report by MySmartPrice, the Itel A60s could debut during the Amazon Prime Day sale in the second week of July.
